  • Hero Pick + MMR

    http://blog.dota2.com/2013/12/matchmaking/

Reading this post is, well interesting.

4# The highest skill Radiant player should be close to the same skill as the highest skill Dire player.
(But what happens if one of them Random's?)

7#Wait times shouldn’t be too long.
(i don't know about you buts 20mins minimal for a captains draft or captains mode ranked game in Australia)

The biggest issue i have period in League rankings and now MMR.
Captains and their draft dictate games!

I just finished calibrating and threw down a 3002.
But every single game was drafted by a captain, i last picked my hero because i can play them all.

What i know, A good support carries a carry in lane.
A good carry will balance a creep wave and deni the enemy offlaner exp.
But when your a bad support vision is lacking and carries are vulnerable.
When your a bad carry you inevitably end up under the enemy's tower and offlaner gets loads of exp.

What im trying to say is.
If the dires best player picks his best hero, say earth spirit or timbersaw.
And if the radiances best player randoms say a support but he usually plays a mid solo.
Then obviously the odds are more favourable to the dire. in fact massively unbalanced.

Accountability, Captains and people who pick the same hero time and time again.
Compared to those who random, Lastpick in Captains and those who dont play OP heros.

4#: No one can predict the hero draft before the game.
7#: 5-10 minutes in EU East or West.

Yes, if both teams have "equal" skilled players, then the game is decided by the draft: best draft wins.

Yes, if you are a middle line player and have to go offlane the game isn't in your favor, but if you know both positions... then you can adapt.

Yes, but you can't put a player that plays only: carry, mid, or offlane, to play support the same way as he plays carry heroes.
Totally agree with the statement that a player shouldn't be able to win every game just because he knows how to play 1 hero very well.
I don't know how it is at 5k+ mmr...but that's what I think is should happen.

Most pro players play only in specific role for his team, and doesn't do as well outside of those roles?

            What does that means then?
            You being wrong
Or those players aren't the top 1%

But then who's the top 1%? If they're so 'fucken epic at all roles', why haven't we heard of them?
Every time someone make a false report.
Making people's losses feel worse with just my name (don't ask me how it work, I certainly don't)

Currently observed Orb(Unique Attack Modifiers), Critical, and Bash interactions for DotA2

            To:
People who cry MM isn't fair: Maybe you're not as great as you make yourself to be.
People who wants surrender: It exists, but I'm not teaching you how to do it.

Actually many pros have swapped around roles, but the fact still stands that even the top players don't perform at each role equally well.
