  • Tactical Pauses

    I recently had a game where we lost. Not due to lack of skill but because every time we initiated, the enemy team would pause, and work out what was going on.

    Is there anyway to deal with this?

        The problem is that they you can't unpause right away. I think you have to wait a minimum of 3 seconds

          I have a suspicion that it's highly problematic to discuss the details of an imminent gank in 3 seconds.

            I'm pretty sure a lot of pings, warnings, and target can be picked in 3 seconds. Teamfight imminent! Pause! Ping the hell out of the target so everyone can focus, now that everyone's positions are known

                It can, especially when they're playing under one roof such as internet cafes which is pretty common.

                      You know people with bad internet tend to lag more in team fight because the data package upload/download is more. So every time the team fight starts my ping goes from 100 ms to 1000 ms, then I will pause the game calling lag, but the enemy always think I am doing a tactical pause. I am really innocent.

                          Perhaps a hero who is currently under attack by any enemy hero shouldnt be able to pause (think something like a blink dagger)
                          Make a NON automated report system.
                          I would rather wait 10 minutes for a balanced, fun and exciting match that will last 1+ hours. Than wait 10 seconds for a poorly balanced crapmatch that will end in 30- minutes
                          Valve, How I'm I supposed to respect certain boundaries to prevent a mute if I dont know them because they are different for each and every person on each and every game I play?
