  • Hide match history from friend?

When I choose hide dota 2 matchmaking hisotry, do I hide it from friends as well?

I have a dota friend who is in the same office with me. He always asks me to play with him but I don't want to.

    Hence the question.

man up and tell him you dont want to play with him. Dont ignore him and wait for him to get the message. Other than that, that option is for external sites, as it describes, eg dotabuff. Turning that on, wont display your new games on any site but he can still see your recent games through client. You will have to turn on profile privacy too (or man up)

Social apps have invisible mode for a reason. Not sure why battle.net or steam can't man up and let us have it.

Man up man up. If you know logic, you know these social apps are only money suckers. Like facebook, whatever you do it must be shared with others.

Look what Google's logic: you have the choice to share what you want to.

Facebook logic, others have the choice to see yours or not. These Facebook, steam, (bn?) don't have logic, greed is what they have.

You can either go offline or ignore him while you are playing and then unignore again.

Tell him you don't want to. Or is it more complicated than that?

That's just wrong. Facebook forces you to nothing. Some apps there require to share your status, but Facebook allows you to specify with whom you want to share it, and "only myself" is an option. It will be on your wall but no one can see it.

An incognite mode is semi build in into steam: you can go offline in the friend list. It's not a real incognito mode, but you can play private.
OP wont get his match history away without completly hiding his dota profile.
If you think I've closed or deleted a post unjustified, feel free to PM me and I'll explain it to you/discuss it with you further.

Read what Kryil said. You talk about logic when you don't even know how to research properly.

Dont be a whiny stabbing bitch and tell him. I have friends that suck big time and I tell them "Sorry I dont wanna play till you get better, play a month or two and then we'll play together, or we can play vs bots or some other game" is it that difficult?
Make a NON automated report system.
I would rather wait 10 minutes for a balanced, fun and exciting match that will last 1+ hours. Than wait 10 seconds for a poorly balanced crapmatch that will end in 30- minutes
Valve, How I'm I supposed to respect certain boundaries to prevent a mute if I dont know them because they are different for each and every person on each and every game I play?
The only type of player that dislikes having his stats public are the players that suck and cheaters

It can be hidden and yes, it works.
