  • Priorities of Matchmaking system

This is a very simple question. From your personal experience what does the MM system seems to prioritize when finding a match? ...Meaning: If you put all your matches together...which of those factors seems to be most common?:
    • Quality of the match (Balanced match with players of roughly the same level of skill)
    • Same language in the game->Teams
    • Speed of finding a match (Finding a match ASAP)
    • Party vs party, solo vs solo (trying to match parties of 5 vs parties of 5, solo players vs each other, and small parties vs small parties)

Now this is gonna be a 2 part post. 1 month from now once we have some results in this poll, I'll post another one with the same options and ask which ones would you like valve to prioritize when matching a game....and we'll see how similar they end up being.

From my personal opinion I think valve's order of priority seems to be:
    1. Speed of finding a match (Finding a match ASAP)

    2. Party vs party, solo vs solo (trying to match parties of 5 vs parties of 5, solo players vs each other, and small parties vs small parties)
    3. Same language in the game->Teams
    4. Quality of the match (Balanced match with players of roughly the same level of skill)

With a big gap in between Speed of finding a match and the next one. From my personal experience the matchmaking system seems to care more about getting us quick in to a game rather than making us wait 5 mins more for a quality one. But comment your own experiences.

Make a NON automated report system.
I would rather wait 10 minutes for a balanced, fun and exciting match that will last 1+ hours. Than wait 10 seconds for a poorly balanced crapmatch that will end in 30- minutes
Valve, How I'm I supposed to respect certain boundaries to prevent a mute if I dont know them because they are different for each and every person on each and every game I play?
The only type of player that dislikes having his stats public are the players that suck and cheaters

This is NOT a community issue. Apart form that, feedback like that belongs into the MM stickies.
Stop dumping posts into the community section that don't belong here.
