  • Endless unenjoyable matches

Valve is completely failing at encouraging good player behavior. I played 10 matches over the past 2 day. I'd say ONE of those was a good game. The others were filled with muted / nonenglish / feeding / rude and insulting players.

Of course, what should I expect when there is no system in place, other than the half-baked report/commend system.

Hey Valve, get up off your asses and put some actual thought / work into the community management.

According to Valve's train of thought, being forced into playing with people that do not speak your language is apparently a good thing, and the report system is working perfectly

Why's that? Because nothing has ever been done to fix any of these two, or at least not for months, considering Valve is pretty much mute (heh) when it comes to replying to their community's feedback, then you can easily say that the only way to know what they really think or mean, is by looking at their actions, and until they prove otherwise, even by placing little hints hidden in the updates for people like cyborgmatt to find, then the general idea is that they believe this is perfectly fine, and that they support it

Hence it's not going to change, so the people that dislike it either have to be louder or get out, as a reference to good old give diretide

Sadly no. Valve just doesn't care. Get over it or play another game. (like the new Blizzard MOBA that's in Beta right now)

          Couldn't agree more with OP.

I can't even remember when was the last time I had fun in a solo que. Games are just HORRIBLE! Dota at its current state isn't playable. Its really sad. Dota is, at least for me, the best game ever made. I'm honestly sad that I can't enjoy this game anymore.

Was hoping Valve would do a good job about this. I guess I was wrong.

+1 with OP, cant agree more. It just seems like the majority of "normal" oldschool players partially left the game. I was rly passionate about dota even last summer before TI3 (solo q was still around). Now the level frustration and boredom in the game is so much higher, that I most of the time couldnt care less about this game. Id rather play some single player game, than getting frustrated or bored in dota. The least matches are close, the majority of games is onesided and boring.

And no its not because of toxic players. Its because theres no motivation to play as a team in this game. Most ppl just solo around on the map and dgaf about the rest. Stacks are one of the problems, language disparity too, freedom to play on any server as well. I could just go play on australia server if I wanted with 500 ping. Most likely the team I would be in would lose, but who cares anyway, right?

But dont worry ppl, judging by overall excitement in dota recently, it doesnt look like valve sells a ton of hats. Sooner or later they will have to act. Hat selling to newcomers in the game wont be enough in the long run.

Dota is a real great game and still works fine. I mean dota, not this crap Valve made. This crap is only for kids who like to enjoy a game by feeding and having no clue what they are doing. And for the PRO, those who play teams, it's great.

But for normal players the gameplay is crap, you are forced to play with noobs, people you don't understand, and the max punishment for ruining a game is more games to be ruined.

One of the main reasons dota 2 sucks so bad is because people know that no matter what they do, they will never get banned or punished in a way that matters. Instead, after being idiots they can say "comment me pls" and "x reported". While these things are enforced by Valve, dota 2 will never be enjoyable for normal players.

                This x1000

It really saddens me to see that Valve totaly ignores this game.

And, another +1 to OP. You know, i was looking for some "contact valve, tell us your problem" option, and this is the only place i found, i'm not a native english speaker but at least i can have communication with other humans in english, at the first time i selected "USA, and South American" servers for playing and after 1 year playing Dota 2, i just play in the USA servers because i must admit that the most people of South America have a low socio-cultural level compared with other North American or European countries, and it's not about racism or xenophobia (in fact, i'm chilean, and there's full of animals in this country). After playing a lot in this servers, i found really friendly USA players (with exceptions) but then i realized that i was about 3 or 4 matches with only spanish speakers in my team, they obiously didn't spoke english and that was a problem when we wanted to make a synergy in the team, and then the same words: "you noob, report, idiot, stupid". I really saw them as animals trying to speak, or native indians, so i thought that Valve should have a test or something before select a server for playing because i don't understand how people can be so unconsious of selecting all god damn servers and all god damn languages only for finding matches faster!, leaving a lot of important things with that. I really want them to be penalized for selecting languages without knowing anythng, at least, be unconsious and selfish for playing, that's bad, but that plus the fact of only saying "noob report" it's like cancer. VALVE PLEASE DO SOMETHING, WE CAN'T PLAY AS CIVILIZED HUMANS AT THIS WAY!
