    They should defintely change dota's hero kill scoring from getting the last hit to being the one who dealt the most damage in the past several seconds. It would really promote better teamwork and get rid of that 10 year old last hitting play. Otherwise you'd be forced to join the band wagon and be a riki / sniper / necrophos player and just kill steal from your more hard working carries and supports. Some players would even purposely watch you clash 4 v 5 and not participate at all and just ninja the left overs he can find.

    I wouldn't mind not getting the kill score. I would rather get more gold if I've done the most damage.

    For Example:

    The enemy has 2K HP and a gold reward of 1200.

    I deal 1500 Dmg and my teammate necrophos deals the remaining 500 Dmg with his ultimate.
    So I would get 1500/2000 (= 75 %) of the 1200 gold (1200 * 0,75 = 900).

      I agree... lost of noobs steal kills from carry...
      Yesterday I played a game where I have Sven score 1-3-20. 20 Kill steals with spells as last hit...The only kill I got was by using my Stun as last hit(steal the kill).

        this will make 5 man stacking boring for ppl when you want to give last hits to your carry for the extra gold.

          While we're at it, we should give all creep kills to the unit that dealt them the most damage, usually the tower or some other creep. And Roshan should give the Aegis to whoever dealt him most damage. And MMR and wins should be given to the people who did the most damage in game.
