  • Attemption of scamming is destroying the friendly community trade of Steam?

I am wondering whether Steam/Valve notice that there are a lot of users are attempting to scam other by saying or offering money claims.
Please check the funny attachment: Screenshot_14.png

Please share some update of what Valve is doing to stop this?

Steam doesn't allow a lot of scamming unless a person who is being scammed falls for it. You just need to know what is possible and what isn't.

As for fake Steam Wallet trading scam, it seems like Valve is going to add Steam Wallet funds trading anyways. It is safe to assume that after they do it, they will fix any loopholes that allow people to get scammed.

And they will also eliminate the keys as the only item that was used for trading in between players who dont have stuff each other wants. Why?....because that way if you wanna buy something you will either have to trade it for other item you exactly want with very close value to yours....OOOOR you will have to buy and sell trough steam market, which gives them money on each transaction.
Make a NON automated report system.
I would rather wait 10 minutes for a balanced, fun and exciting match that will last 1+ hours. Than wait 10 seconds for a poorly balanced crapmatch that will end in 30- minutes
Valve, How I'm I supposed to respect certain boundaries to prevent a mute if I dont know them because they are different for each and every person on each and every game I play?

Well, as I'm said, I'm pretty sure that they will allow us to trade money from Wallet as we did with keys. Though it can introduce certain problems.

i still dont get it why they're gonna remove the keys. i mean i know that they earn more money this way, but what i dont understand is that why they don't really give a shit about anything else?

The only reason to remove keys is because its become an ingame currency they dont control, and from which they only get money when the key is initially sold. Not when items are traded with keys in between players.

They want money when you buy an item and more money when you want to trade it with someone else.

Every day they are closer to E.A.'s business model.

scamming wouldn't be an issue if people would stop trying to make a huge profit off of trading steam items. The same problem happened in tf2; friendly traders traded hats and weapons for the ones they didn't have. Then valve introduced a bunch of unusual hats and limited items and then the scammer population skyrocketed trying to get items to sell and buy and sell until they had everything and everyone had nothing. Supply and demand I guess.

Yeah, I remember the first days of update with trading it it. You could easily get any item(besides hats, of course) without giving anything in return. After that, people started speaking different language(0.33/0.66 and all that shit) and servers introduced separated trade chat.

Well, I'd just grown sick with all these people who attempted to scam others.
Just hope that Valve can focus on something that frighten those people.
Maybe Valve is too busy with the "coming update".
                  Anyone has news, please share.

What I am thinking for Valve to do is any attempt of scam should receive penalty in their Dota 2 trading.
It can be similar penalty as Steamguard settings change.

I am pretty sure you all gonna laugh and take this as something that everyone has to get an idea and suggest it to Valve or Steam.
