Region lock is forever condemned by the devs even though it has made other games beyond successful. However, again, again, again, I am not against playing with people from other countries because they are of different skin color or speak a different language. What I'm against is people from other countries who DON'T SPEAK A SHRED OF ENGLISH refusing to communicate with the MAJORITY Americans who want to queue on U.S servers by speaking their broken english and calling "feeder, noob, jajaja" . I don't queue on peru/brazil and expect you to speak english. I expect you to speak english in a server located in a country that speaks english as its primary language though. This is an ongoing issue and must be addressed.

Eh? Can you make any sense at all? You do know you are talking about different subjects right? They even have different screens to select "Server" and "Language" for slow people who dont get it. There's no "English" server, same as there's no server of any specific language. And dont mix things please, If you get called feeder and noob it doesnt have anything to do with the language of whoever is calling you that.

Region lock hasn't made games better, if anything it has proven that its a shitty and dumb idea. Starcraft 2 started with region lock. Then they saw that didnt work and they tried to fix it and get some money in the process by making a more expensive version of the game without region lock. They realized that was dumb as fuck too and then removed region lock for everyone.

Since you dont understand it I will make an explanation for you. Servers are placed in strategic locations to serve players from different zones. And you already proved you dont know this so I will also spell it for you (I can make a video showing it to you if you want ) Do you know how many countries there are?....go google it okay? And now do you know how many servers are there?...The servers DotA2 has arent meant to serve 1 single country. That would be so dumb for a lot of reasons I'm not gonna waste time to explain.

Thats why there's no "English servers"....And again, you keep proving time and time again that you dont have the slightest idea of how anything works, so I will explain you why the language is an issue. The language tab is MEANINGLESS. Valve explained in a blog post that your selection is used as a "PREFERENCE". Meaning the game will PREFER to place you with team mates who speak the same language, and then as secondary priority with enemies who speak the same language. But if there's not enough people who meet that criteria, your selection will be IGNORED, and you will be matched with whoever is available.

The solution to this is extremely simple, valve should change that in order to respect the player's choice.
Make a NON automated report system.
I would rather wait 10 minutes for a balanced, fun and exciting match that will last 1+ hours. Than wait 10 seconds for a poorly balanced crapmatch that will end in 30- minutes
Valve, How I'm I supposed to respect certain boundaries to prevent a mute if I dont know them because they are different for each and every person on each and every game I play?
The only type of player that dislikes having his stats public are the players that suck and cheaters

Holy shit. You DO contradict yourself in the same posts sometimes lol. Being a keyboard warrior sure earns you a living huh? Since your posts are simply clogging up my feed with no intellectual value, have fun on my ignore list.

Most of these people who can't speak a word of English in 2015 have little to no education, so you can't teach them to open the dialogue box and change their language to alien or whatever. If everyone chose their own language, the language preference would work as intended, and Valve wouldn't need to make excuses to naive people (see above) as to why their failed function doesn't work.

Also, I know for a fact that some Russians queue on EU servers because even they try to run away from their own kind, and I can't blame them, if my country had its own server, I would avoid it at all costs.

"You contradict yourself, but since I cant say where I will just say something dumb and short disregarding what you said...yeah that will look smart and it will seem like I was right"

Grats! your opinion is now 100% valid and proved!...and your ignore makes me feel so bad ;_; thanks for letting me know!

I cant help but to wonder if you are a real human being expressing opinions in the forum, or a troll pushing the boundaries seeing with how many racist posts you can get away before the mods give a crap. It would be an interesting experiment I guess....

And I'm still curious about this other "mysterious language" you say you speak. Because you keep saying everyone should speak English, while its likely your native language and you dont speak any other.

Again, you're talking out of your ass, and you're wrong. My native language is Croatian.

Also, needless to say, there was next to zero racism in that post.

You know i was joking when i said you should learn spanish then portuguese, but you should actually try to communicate with people who speak other languages. Might be hard to believe but probably not every one of them decided to "ruin your match" by purposefully picking english, while speaking none of it. Hell, some of them might actually speak it but wont talk to you in english because they feel disrespected or something dumb like that. In any case, this is a tool you might find interesting, since we know the devs are currently strongly against the idea of region locking, just google dota 2 translator and you should find the program (www. sletmo .com/dota2translator)
I've installed it myself and it worked quite well at translating most languages.

I believe that is the case quite often, particularly because valve seems to prioritize short search times over match quality.
