It is well known that Dota2 suffers from a certain toxicity within its gaming community. Although the players are given specific tools to keep this problem under control (i.e., muting and reporting of abuse), the toxicity can still be observed on a regular basis.
Muting players results in less communication between the team mates and can thus have a negative impact on the team's further performance. Reporting of abuse is taken seriously by the authorities, punishing rightfully the abusers. However, in my own experience, insults and blaming, which both contribute heavily to the toxicity, are not punished, even if they are reported.
Mainly, the toxicity emanates from specific (generally toxic) individuals or from a toxic combination of (generally atoxic/non-toxic) individuals.
Please implement a blocking ability where players can privately block other individual players from their matchmaking. Here, each player has his/her own private black list including other players that they don't want to see as their team mates.
Personally, I'd rather wait some more minutes to find decent team mates than being stuck with a person in-game for 30-60 mins that I absolutely don't want to play with. Hopefully, this will also have a long-term impact on the community, as toxic players (whose behavior got them into exile) will have to wait longer and longer to find other team mates.
