Take a look into the mirror! You think you are completely unfailable. With your limited knowledge, you think that you know more than someone who is very deep in the matter/an expert.

LP seems to work based on games, not time. Meaning its something like:
Say you quit or are reported in 2 games in a row
Then you stop playing for 1 year
And then you play 1 game and get reported or quit again. You get LPQd because of the total of 3 reports in a row.

Not sure how many reports in a row or per X games you need to get lpqd, but its probably not far from that example.
Make a NON automated report system.
I would rather wait 10 minutes for a balanced, fun and exciting match that will last 1+ hours. Than wait 10 seconds for a poorly balanced crapmatch that will end in 30- minutes
Valve, How I'm I supposed to respect certain boundaries to prevent a mute if I dont know them because they are different for each and every person on each and every game I play?
The only type of player that dislikes having his stats public are the players that suck and cheaters

At least for me, some time ago when I stopped playing for 1 or 2 months and played again, I spent 1 week flaming noobs and didn't get any punishment. Afterwards, when I got my punishment, it wasn't not even 4 games in a row to get punished again.

So I think there is some decay mechanism, but might be more than a 1 week.

There is no decay. At least not a meaningful one, since it happened to me after a month+ break - one game, win as zeus, direct lpq + 24hours mute. Notice it was 24hours mute, not a larger one.

Well, I know Dota 2 developers look like interns, but even so don't think they didn't implement a simple decay system for reports. Or, I have been too lucky to flame hard for 1 week before getting punished.

I believe the mute one HAS a decay, but apparently only once you have reached the maximum mute which is one week.

So you get muted for 24 hours...Then it seems to have no decay and next time you play and get muted you'll get 48....and then the week...and then if you get muted again you will get a week again. But if you let 1 more week pass then it seems to reset back to 24 hrs (and need more reports to punish you again)
