  • Please look into my account - am I shadow pooled?

Let me just start by saying I love Dota. I play every day.

For the last few days, the quality of my matches has noticeably gotten much, much worse. I play a lot, so the dramatic decline (and consistent) quality of my games is glaring. I fear that I may have been placed in a separate pool of some sort. I am not a smurf. I am not a game ruiner. Nor am I a saint. But I do not think that I belong in this separate pool IF that is even a thing. All I ask is that someone check into my account, and possibly give me a shot back in the normal pool. I enjoy Dota a ton, but not as of lately, and I don't want to quit. Thank you in advance.

Bump - I CANNOT ENJOY A SINGLE GAME OF DOTA UNTIL THIS IS FIXED. I am awaiting a response.

Throughout the year, when there are holidays, you will get an influx of players. Some of them are just getting back into the game, so they play terrible.

It seems like I'm going to be saying this a lot here, on this forum, but here it goes.

If you want to avoid this problem you have, being teamed with bad players, you need to form a team. Playing with anything less than 5, you are at the mercy of the MM.

I understand that, but I don't think its a sufficient explanation to why this is happening.

Well, that's all I could think of. Because they removed "shadow pool", when the behavior score system was introduced. Behavior score used to be hidden, that's what "shadow pool" was.

The only thing you have control over, is if you play in a group or not. If you don't have a full team, then you will be given random people. There might be a bug with your account, maybe submit a support request through steam.

          Sorry I couldn't really help,
