  • Rework Ranked Matchmaking This Way

Currently, ranked matchmaking does not allow 4 players to form a party and join that matchmaking. However, in certain situations, sometimes we are still able to see a party where their composition could be 3 players and matched with another 2 single solo players.

I can see a lot of issues and problems being raised and complain about by the players due to the single solo player being matched with the party. What if Dota 2 ranked matchmaking is run as team matchmaking only (no single-player in ranked)? Meaning that each player must find at least a partner or guild to join for party mate(s) whenever there is planning to join the ranked game.

Otherwise, the game can be publicly opened for the players to just join and play unranked games aka. normal matchmaking. As mentioned above, recently, I had seen a lot of complaints that came due to single playing (solo) on the matchmaking especially when the players were playing as a solo in the ranked games. This is something that happens now, where huge negative complaints came from solo-player that affect those players' mmr points. It's like the unknown player who has been matched with the other player and they feel dissatisfied due to unknown teammate(s) who affect or cause their mmr points to drop.

    Ranked Matchmaking
    - Must join with at least 1 partner or as a party
    - Formation of a team or team composition will be either 2, 3 or 5 players

    Unranked Matchmaking
    - Can join as a single-player or with the formation of a party
    - Formation of a team or team composition will be various

I guess what I suggested before about the "erasing of solo & put party or parties only" can be changed to different points. Source of old thread: https://steamcommunity.com/app/570/d...88173734090900 (you may full read all comments there first before you read here for best understanding). I believe the game can be improved if ranked matchmaking games come with parties only, while normal matchmaking games can be played as solo or parties. That's why normal matchmaking is known as public games. The flaw or main reason why ranked games or matchmaking becoming so bad is due to the "opening" of solo playing in ranked matchmaking!

    Thanks for reading.
    Sorry for any bad English.
