  • Matchmaking teams me up with people i blocked/ignored in Dota and Steam?!

Today i had two matches where teammates on my side were people i blocked, reported and ignored on steam and dota in 2015/2016.

Obviously the matches were a disaster since those guys are just flat out r*tards who team-kill, feed and insult since minute one.

So why the hell did Unranked All-pick matchmaking put me in the same team with people i ignored/reported/blocked all communication?

It happened twice today and with two different groups of ignored people so it was definitely not a "one time fluke"...

Please fix this bug or oversight - NO ONE wants to team up with players they have ignored+blocked by using every tool steam and dota2 provide.

    Nah. Noone cares.

Yesterday, I woke up and wanted to play doto.

    1) First match - some rager wanted to pick a carry and he proceeded screaming FUCK YOU YOU FUKKEN REETART with thick Italian accent, after being asked which lane he wanted. YOU DON'T TELL ME WHAT TO DO, I WILL NOT TELL YOU TO FUUC OFF!! --- Ehm okay ...
    2) Our support goes afk and abandons, but still in the game.
    3) Our main carry starts feeding for no reason. Suddenly he just walks into creeps and starts hitting them until ganked. This came out of nowhere, he wasn't complaining, the map was warded, etc. He proceeded doing this for the next 25 min until we lost in a 5v4 game.
    4) Finally a game where people were communicating and wanted to win! First win of Friday!

Do you think I have enough reports for this bullshit? Ofc not. Do you think I report their profiles for harrassment? Ofc I do.
Does something ever happen? No, because VALV.

So personally I gave up. There are not going to be proper punishments for game-ruiners, sadly.

I agree proper punishments should happen but i am not talking about that.

I am talking about the already available system in steam and dota to block/ignore a specific person (steam account).
For some reason that system is not making sure the matchmaking does not put you into the same TEAM with people you have explicitly chosen to block all communication with.

I do not understand how was this not built into the matchmaking system when the ignore and block feature was added into dota/steam.
It is painfully obvious that no one wants to party up with people they have ignored and blocked all communication with...

You have to understand the person who designed it can either be too clever or stupid.

          Start the game with console.
Enter "developer 1" (without the ").
          Enter "dota_game_account_debug"

          Look for: "player_behavior_score_last_report".

If it's under 7000, change your behaviour. (dont flame, dont grief, dont throw etc.)

Never going to happen. It can be abused and it complicates matchmaking even more. Imagine people blocking others left and right, because they got stomped or someone had a bad game.
            No way.

Mine is over 7000. What should I do? I am understanding the situation faced by the OP. I know how he feels because I know he was frustrated in most games. So, what about me?

Improve your behavior if it's under 9000.

Above 7K is good if you are moving around 3800-4000 MMR.

I just hit 4K again. Got a Jungle Juggernaut last pick. Now I believe over 9K is needed for 4K shitlords.

I am above 9000. 9400 or something. I've just had the biggest lose streak of my life - 14 losses in a row over the easter holidays. Now I'm a 3400 shitlord, even though I am a 4k player.
The matchmaking kept matching me with disconnecters, abandoners, flamers, feeders and throwers. But maybe it's the holidays.
Then suddenly yesterday, I started a winstreak. Just out of nowhere, dota started matching me with normal people again - 5 games in a row, everyone plays the game and wants to win.

                    1) Behavior score can't be used to judge whether you get good teammates or not.
                    2) The system either seems to be giving advantage to one side, or it is a complete shit. I mean cmon, 14 games in a row with throwers? Really? Then 5 games in a row (and counting) with normal people who tried to win (and won)?

Bratan , only reason you go on a losing streak is you playing bad .

Every game, teams and opponents are different . Only thing those 14 games have in common is you on the losing team .

Take a break every time you lose , go watch a movie , play some overthrow . You will have time to relax and you won't get matched with the same idiots in your team 2 games in a row . And don't play when you are tired and you're not in a good mood .

I started playing dota again few months ago and i climbed from 6.3k to 7.6k MMR . You can easily avoid going on a losing streak once you realize it's not team's fault ... it's just you playing bad or crying too much and making your team stop playing .
