Hell...even excessive harassment would lead to legal actions (such as heavy bullying and the alike).

We need a player review system like Overwatch for DotA 2. Get real people to judge communication abuse, intentional skill abuse, and intentional feeding.

Read the guys comment, he was talking about freedom of speech. Which was what I replied to.
And what I said is true. Freedom of speech is a poor argument when it comes to communication abuse, both ingame and in real-life.

You added the claiming part, which is irrelevant. I missed that though in your post.
The necessity of proof has nothing to do with the argument I made. Which is in short "Freedom of speech is not an argument for harassment."

If we go to what you said, then yes, proof is important, you shouldn't punish someone without it. I didn't talk about that though.

Your reply was, quote, 'Now go harass someone in real life and see your precious "freedom of speech".' You wanted to talk about real life, so I talked about it. And it turns out that you can't name a single parallel in real life where you get legally punished based on what two people CLAIM.

Where did claim come from in my argument?
I said I missed that, and no... i can't name a country that does it based on claims.
(however, any sensible country would investigate any claim unless it's outrageous).

But where do you find CLAIM has any part in my comment?

            His comment:
'Only insecure people support the mute system because they're AFRAID OF FREEDOM OF SPEECH! ONLY COWARDS ARE AFRAID OF WHEN PEOPLE ARE ALLOWED TO SPEAK FREELY!'

            my comment:
'Now go harass someone in real life and see your precious "freedom of speech".'

Nowhere in those comments do I see anything that has to do with claiming stuff.

"Claim" refers to how the automated mute system works: two people claim you do something wrong (report), and you get punished.

All I see is a bunch of little hormone raging kids complaining they are muted. Personally mute system is working great for me. Little kids dont talk crap to me and if they do I have 16 reports left to punish them.

Toxic behaviour is not for dota.

                    • Learn to behave plebs... Team up with some mates, so you'll have a team of 5, if you're going solo, use the solo MM(Less chance someone's going to report you there) And always use TS or Skype when you're in a party. Anywho.. what I'm trying to say, the mute system is here to stay... we all need to learn to adapt to it... Nothing more. If you can't do that, well... you're fucked

Hate speech could get you some sort of punishment in (you'll be surprised), MOST countries..

                        • i support the mute system because it is necessary for the growth of dota 2. abusers will drive newbies and existing players away from the game, and valve knows that. better for abusers that threaten to quit the game leave than the general majorities and newbies that wish to enjoy dota peacefully suffer and leave.

At this rate Dota 2 will become like LoL. Because only that garbage is full of 10 yrs old casuals that get butthurt because of everything you say. And if this mute ban is necessary for the "growth" of dota 2 tell me how did DotA survived(and is still surviving) all these years without it? Enlighten me ooh all knowing master

Been saying it in 80%+ of my games, yet to be muted once.
