  • Game is UNPLAYABLE.

I've finally decided I had enough of the dreaded Dota 2 community and I'm switching back to Starcraft 2. I'm sick of getting a bunch of rude fucking South Americans who type/ talk on mic in Spanish, play horribly, and ruin the game for me. Why the fuck hasn't the option to queue for Spanish speakers only come up yet? That's all they need to add! How fucking hard can it be?!!!

    Adiós muchacho.

Even if there is such an option it won't change a damn thing. I have "english" selected all the time and still see lots of russian every day.

What can Valve do about that? People can freely select whatever they want. Should they implement English test? People speak multiple languages (there are over 6900 in the world) and even if they speak English they might be speaking Spanish as well and want to chat in Spanish with their friends, or maybe they are just high and want to speak to themselves. Don't just complain and try to think how this can be fixed? Should they implement auto-mute for people who don't use English words if they have chosen English?

The game is great when you get pubs with people who speak your language and don't feed. He's right though, the Dota 2 is awful. The Russians come to the English servers, feed the enemy team, and scream Russian things in mic. The Hispanics come to the English servers because there are no Spanish servers. I only have fun when I play with random people who don't feed, or people I know that I party up with.

I have made a suggestion on the language filter and how the language filter can be enforced. Link in my signature.

if there is an option to block certain nationalities(particularly pinoys) from being matchmade into the same game as you, i will be a very happy dota player.

Unless there is an (optional) region lock function to decide with what (countries) you like to get queued with/Against (or just with) you cannot avoid stuff like russians on EU and brazil on USA servers. Deal with it and queue with 4 man thats the only way atm to get decent teams and decent games

Cuidate pibe, espero que no vuelvas más.

If you're wondering why LatinAmerican players play in EE.UU, is because our server (Brazil) has a terrible Lag (300-700) while if I play on the EE.UU servers, I got 190-300 Lag.

                          Hoping for her release.

It's easy to see from the steam graph of the playerbase that the game is nearly terminal....

The matchmaker also will raise your Elo and try to put you in players of equivalent skill, which indirectly tries to get the win rate to 50%. However, it has never looked at your historical win rate and put you in a game where it knew that you were expected to lose.
Is every post on this forum about the Dunning-Kruger effect?

You also forget that this has to do with tens of thousands of keys go out daily/weekly now and they spread like wildfire. One of my smurfs was just gifted 10 copies yesterday, and I still have another smurf with 10 copies and my main with about 30 copies. Valve just passes them out like candy because they think more players playing will drown out their failing report/mute system in cries of 'noob' 'cyka' 'fcuk you!' etc from the brazilian/russian/chinese players that flooded this game because of their poor management.
