That's the biggest truth about Dota 2 right now. Also its biggest issue and probably the root of every community related problems we see in nearly every match. There's always someone who doesn't care about the mute system, about communication, about team play, about helping out new players, about winning or losing. They just wanna "play their game". Then they proceed to ruin everyone else's experience.

Telling other people to "play your own game" should warrant a week long suspension from Dota 2.

Honestly, I have never made a post on the Steam community hub and, like with this forum, I'd say a majority of Dota players have no idea what it is and/or how to post there.

Don't you think it makes sense that all the people that complain there are complaining because of their inability to complain in-game?

On the flip side of being fair, I wouldn't necessarily say that 99% of people hate the mute system. I'd be willing to bet a solid majority do, however.

You're stupid and naive to think that everyone who complains, complains on forums.

^ that was a bit of sarcasm, but I am being mostly serious.

    Mr. SantaClauze

If you would kindly stop repeatedly throwing yourself at the enemy tower, since it gives so much gold and XP to the other team, your team mates would be extremely grateful. We all thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
PS. Seeing you are playing witch doctor, if you would please allow my Phantom Assassin just a couple of last hits per creepwave, I will love you and send you a fruit basket on christmas.

    System is working like intended.
If you report people just because they write in chat "ez game" you are a silly brat exploiting the system. Mute system has been created to report disruptive behavior, which is not the case. I'll make an example: if along the "ez game" the dude writes "ez game ez life y'all cunts are so noob I'm playing with one hand on the mouse and the other on my cock" then you have the right, if not the obligation, to report that player. There is no need to report an annoying yet legit "ez game" since in any other competition mocking is legal.
That's why people hate this system, because if you write something that is not in line with the mindset of every player you get days of chat mute. Even worse, people get muted even if they never used the chat. Just check the forums for a video-proof if you don't believe me.
Oh, I'm saying this as a pro-mute-system player.

True, but on the other hand you could provide a whitelist. Either way though I would consider it an improvement, because I don't think it is quite necessary to remove communication completely. Some communication is necessary to win at least. Can't rely on pinging and chat wheel alone.
