  • 2 reports not enough.

testing the new mute system, 20-30 games, no mute.

too bad, 2 reports, week. i can't report players who literally shit on my games either griefing, feeding, or afk.

what's the point of this system?

    it's doing nothing good.

the quality of games is going down and pubs are literally getting unplayable. i play on high skill queue and i've +20 or so win ratio.

    as if that means something.

The only point of this mute system is to give trolls a way to troll even more. It brings nothing good to the game or the community.

I had a keeper of the light today that sold all of his items, bought divine, and dived to lose it on purpose.

We were completely desolating them and then lost because of it (and the fact that he stopped trying to kill or support, making it a 4 v 5).

Had no reports left for him though. It's easy to get reports back when muting someone, but nearly impossible for feeders.

2 per week is not nearly enough for the amount of bad situations you go through.

exactly. most of the people report for text abuse, no matter what the person did. and what's the big deal? -> it's automated anyways. but that means that griefers will either never be punished or only muted and this doesn't seperate them from all the normal players.

2 reports may be enough for people who only play 5-10 games per week, but what is with those who play up to 30 games or even more?

Yup. It's too many to give players who would report you but not enough to give you in order to report them.
              To avoid LPQ:

              Don't draw attention to yourself
Don't use voice or chat except for 'ss'
              Mute all at lvl 1
              Only play in parties
              Get alternate accounts
Limit your usage to one or two games per day per account
              Don't play too well
Don't play on Sunday or Monday
Wait until the developers reset LPQ status

If you're getting matched with trolls or feeders:

You may have been placed in a hidden pool. There is no known way out of this, apart from moving to a different account.

2 guys abuse you in one game. you report them.

and for the rest of the week you can do nothing.

this is so badly implemented it's ridiculous.

Don't you get the 2 reports back?

Only if enough other people reported them to have a penalty drawn.

You are not the only one with reports. If Kotl did that I would report him even if he played against me and helped me won the game.

They are not Valve's targeted audience.

Of all the game developers out there Valve have possibly the longest track record of delivering games that are played for 1000's of hours by their user base. DotA2 follows in this tradition and was certainly chosen primairily for this reason.

Wow, have some of you learned nothing from the debacle that was the previous version of the automated mute system? Without player review, if you give players more than 2 reports per week, the community starts trolling itself. Yes, Valve, that is what happens when you let a "toxic community...own the definition of abuse"!
We need a player review system like Overwatch for DotA 2. Get real people to judge communication abuse, intentional skill abuse, and intentional feeding.
