  • WHY do mute reports in games where you said nothing count? FIX IT

So I have been having problems with my internet recently, and for that i fully deserved the LPQ I got, but what I didn't deserve was the mute I received for disconnects because I had a bunch of false communication abuse reports filed against me for it in games where I didn't say a single word or even use the chat wheel when I disconnected.

Is it so hard to make communication abuse reports not count if you don't say anything? This is the most basic of checks and you don't do it.

And you gave us infinite reports again? My available reports dont drop below 2 for some reason

Not that I am trying to argue your position, but what if the player that was reported used voice chat?

I do have to admit, when I see someone abandon I always get a chuckle when someone tells the game to report them. You mention they're going to LPQ automatically, and they tell you to report them for comm. abuse anyways. After all, you'll get it back, right?

Surely they can check if someone used the microphone during the game

Chat-wheel spam, ping spam, voice chat spam and chat abuse. You will never face the possibility to rank that.
If you think I've closed or deleted a post unjustified, feel free to PM me and I'll explain it to you/discuss it with you further.

So you disagree with my suggestion that mute reports in games where you never said anything shouldn't count, because you can't rank chat wheel spam? Am I understanding you correctly?

Reports during one chat ban do not effect it and give another chat ban, You must have been punished for another reason.
              Spoiler:

This has nothing to do with being reported during a chat ban, it has to do with being reported in games where you don't say a single word, but you are not chat banned, and the report counting.

So hard to read? All the 4 things I mentioned can be considered communication abuse.

                    You can not not communicate.

Anyway, I think the problem you mention is only part of the actual problem: That people can be punished if they are innocent.

Apparently it is hard to read, Kryil. You believe people should be muted in games where they never said a word just in case they pinged, without bothering to check if they did ping?

Mute reports counting in games where someone never said anything is an obvious loophole that should be fixed. As of now you can report people for communication abuse for not loading the game, and it will count. Not a word spoken, not a ping made.

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME? No, you should not get muted for a single ping, but for ping SPAM, and it's untrackable if a ping each 5 seconds is spam or used to show proper positions.
It's also untrackable (apart from well played! spam) if using the chat wheel every 5 seconds is SPAM or used for communication.
The games where people don't talk, don't ping, don't use the chatwheel are rare (and honestly, people should be lowered in MM for refusing ALL of it, but that's not the topic) and are nearly irrelevant.

I have said so in several threads, the system needs to check if you actually communicated in that game before it even counts any communication abuse reports. If someone feeds, report them for feeding, that is NOT communication abuse (I don't know how this is so utterly difficult to comprehend, clearly people can read the description of the button or?). I have never and will never report anyone who feeds for communication abuse because that's just stupid.

Putting someone in LPQ is not automated, unless they abandon. Reporting them for feeding, or ability abuse doesn't guarantee a punishment. However, reporting them fro "communication abuse" means you pretty much fuck them over, if you don't like that or whatever.
