  • Why not DotaCash?

    Why not Zoidberg?

Seriously though, this has been suggested before, yeah?
They seem to keep bitches in line.
They have legitimate bans, and during my time in DotA1 I totally didn't want to mess with them. Breaking my items would mean a 30 day ban, jesus. Can't we contract them for the punishment system?

DotaCash are trolls that ban you for not being the first leaver in a game.
I will mercilessly add to my ignore list anyone that makes an incredibly annoying signature.

Have you got any evidence? They have an entire section of a forum dedicated for reports.

The thing is, the games in DotaCash is much more mature. They hardly give two shizztz if you were flaming or scolding people. All they care about is the in game stuff. Is he throwing intentionally? Destroying his items? Tiny tossing people to death? Ruining the game with the intent to lose? Having a leaver ratio greater than X? No? Okay, you're free to go.

Because nobody in their right mind wants to play a 4v5, etcetera, games that are not 5v5. They do not allow leavers at all because even after 1 leaver has demolished the game, you have to stay or be banned for 2 hours. That's completely unrighteous.

That on top of the fact that they track all your scores in every game played makes people that care about scores fountain farm every game that they win, and they also throw teamwork out the window when they think the game is effectively over, win or loss, focusing only on their own score, meaning that anyone that is just trying to have a fun time has to leave and eat the 2 hour ban or suffer through the rest of the game before getting a chance for a real game, even if someone demolished the game already. IOW, the current system of DotaCash just creates more problems within the games that are already demolished. And if you try to get out, you get punished. There's no logic in that.

I believe you are allowed to force forfeit in a 4v5. Or i could be wrong? But i know that leaving a 4v5 game is illegal. Leaving a 3v5 and 3v4 is legal, however.

Maybe you're confusing force forfeit with vote kick option. A while ago, they used this option a lot, but not anymore. Now I guess it's simpler to just let an account eat a 2 hour ban than bothering to vote kick it. After all, with all the leavers usually the last thing the majority wants is to lose another player. Even if they suck, they want him in so they can feed on him for the scores. I'm not even joking, there are leavers in over 50 percent of the games in DotaCash, temporarily banning all leavers and not tracking(with the intent of eventual permanent banning) the first leavers is the dumbest thing ever. They do try to justify their system for permanent banning by counting how long the game goes, but that can't be accurate a lot of the time if they don't care if a player left when the game is almost over since players traditionally fountain farm because they care about scores. Sure, not everyone does, but there are enough of them that it renders their system that they rely on for banning completely inaccurate.

The reason it is illegal is because they need to take advantage of the quitter but no leaver attitude that people that care about the scores adopt. Once the game is officially demolished nobody cares about morals. It's every man for himself and the team with the most significant disadvantage has to just deal with it. Oftentimes you'll see some players do completely the wrong thing on your team in these situations and you just know there's no way out, fastest way is eat the 2 hour ban, but that's no good, and neither is playing a game you didn't sign up for, a game that isn't 5v5. Because First Leaver is never permanently banned they can perpetually put First Leavers on your team, making it 5v4 every game, and try to boost their scores by their unfair advantage. That's trolling by cheats, taking advantage of the corrupt system.

They have a system for tracking people that have a higher leaver ratio. If the first leaver player has more than 10% of his games being left, he gets banned.

Try to avoid using statistics like "leavers in over 50% of the games" unless you can sort of prove them. Thanks.

                    1) All you have to do is only play the leaver account once. Then you make a new one. The server has no limit to the number of accounts you can make in any time frame with a single key. 2) I can prove them easily. Don't even go there. That's such a waste of time considering this is a DOTA 2 forum and not a DotaCash forum.

You would have to go through the trouble of possibly getting a new IP address due to their alias system, and definitely validating your own account once more.

Theres also an MMR system there as well, which should give you the incentive to stick to one account to improve its stats. Which would give them the incentive to not trash their accounts, even more so if they were of a high rating.

On personal experience, I haven't played DotaCash in 2 years, but I don't remember a lot of leavers in games... like at all.

Edit: My friend recently went back to dotacash after some seriously flawed games on dota2. He is swearing to me that during his 12 games that he has stayed there, he has not been met with a leaver on either side.

Instead of this wall of text, I was sort of hoping some sort of constructive comments about my idea, instead of flaming dotacash because you are clearly just so angry at them. Maybe the other guy in the other thread was right, maybe we do have the one of the worst online gaming communities. Or the people I want in this thread are at work right now.

Nope, as long as you do not anger their system with a single account, you can keep on doing it, you just have to wait for 2 hours. The system never bothers to track you outside as a new account player, for if you visit their website and try to view the alternate user names for the players, you'll find nothing for a new account player. Sure, if you play enough games, you can manage to play some legitimate games, but those are fewer and further between than any sane person would prefer.

Whining about how much I 'flame' DotaCash isn't going to change the fact that their bots are run by cheaters.
