No orcs here?

My question was:

Why there no green orcs here?

Answer was (in short version):

This is a non-issue, and even if it was, this wouldn't be the place to discuss it in the first place (Note, this isn't the model feedback section). Closing this.

sry but i really dont understand rules here. I am not telling that this isssue, that there are no green orcs, but just wanted to know why there are no any green orc here, at RP perspective. Lore.

Mhm... ok, you didn have to close tose topic because i have plenty of questions. If You say that there are no any orcs here, so what is Disruptor, and Axe race? f they are not orcs, so what this new, orc-based race is called. Btw. i didnt played in W40km but played a lot in W1,W2, W3, and orcs horde was always my favourite. I see there is also goblin-like timbersaw. Probably You will say there are no goblins here. Ok...so tell please what race is Timbersaw. I also want to ask about Alchemist. It looks like half-gnomme-half-goblin, but i am probably in mistake. What is his race? Next question - trolls. Who is Huskar? Who is Troll Warlord? Why he is red? Why axe and disruptor are red? I know why Clinkz looks this way, because it is written. I am just courious about other heroes.

I guess they can't call Axe an orc. We have many copyright bullshit here, and I guess that red orcs could be partially copyrighted by Blizzard.

Perhaps it's because Orcs are a very cliche and overused archetypical race in fantasy, so they went with a different name. As Heifastus pointed out, this is ultimately a non issue. They COULD be called orcs and it would mean as much.

Oh hi! But I don't think your articles can answer OPs question. I guess there are two main reasons why they made them Ogodi and not Orc.
1. It's a really cliche race, so Valve wanted something different.
2. Red orcs might fall under Blizzards copyright.

Considering that they apparently have rights of words like "Doom Bringer" and "Windrunner", I guess they can sue Valve for red orcs. The truth is is that Valve don't want to take any chances. I don't think that Blizzard can actually win a case about Valve using words "Doom Bringer", but even so it's still lost time and money, so they change everything that can cause troubles.

I don't really know how this thing works, but apparently everything was changed just for safety. Remember, Valve won the lawsuit about using name "Dota" and technically Dota 2 is a competitor to HotS.
