    My hero's skills / stats

    Q: Soak
    Hurls an orb of of water at the target location knocking enemies away from the center of the 375 AOE (Like bat rider Molotov)
    Destroys trees around pushed targets.
    Deals 80/100/120/150 damage
    Costs: 100/115/130/145 mana
    Cooldown: 18/17/16/15 seconds

    Adds following effects based on level of Corrode : +10/15/20/25% slow for 5 seconds and costs 5/10/15/20 more mana
    Adds following effects based on level of Conflagrate: +10/20/30/40 flat distance knockback and costs 7/8/9/10 more mana
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    W: Corrode
    Breathes a cone of some sort of acid at the foes infront of them with a range of 250
    Removes 1/2/2/3 armor from targets affected for 8 seconds
    Deals 1/2/2/3% of the targets current HP as magic damage every second for 6 seconds
    Costs: 80/90/90/100 mana
    Cooldown: 14/14/10/10 seconds

    Adds following effects based on level of Soak : Knocks units 10/20/30/50 units away from hydra ,costs 2/5/7/10 more mana
    Adds following effects based on level of Conflagrate: Damage over time lasts 1/2/2/3 more seconds, costs 5/10/10/15 more mana

    E: Conflagrate
    Ignites enemies within 350 units of Hydra, Giving them the "On fire" debuff.
    "On fire" debuff causes you and any allies within 150/155/160/165 units of you to take 10/15/20/25 magic damage, this stacks.
    Debuff lasts 8/9/10/11/ seconds.
    Costs: 120/140/160/180 mana
    Cooldown: 22 seconds
    Deals 75% less damage to creeps

    Adds following effects based on level of Soak: Enemies affected by "on fire" are slowed by 4/8/12/16% and STACKS. costs +10/15/20/25 mana
    Adds following effects based on level of Corrode: Enemies affected by "on fire" take 2/3/4/5% more magic damage, this stacks. +20 mana

    R: Frenzy
    Sends hydra into a frenzy, surpassing normal capabilities.

    All hydra's skills have their mana cost reduced by 5/10/15/20
    And have their cooldowns reduced by: 2/3/4 seconds.
    This skill has a cooldown of 50 seconds and the buff lasts 20 seconds
    The skill works on a charge system, Can hold a maximum of 5 charges.
    The debuff stacks with itself but does not refresh duration. Similar to burning spears.
    The buff also applies a 20% move speed buff to hydra that does not stack.

    Aghs upgrade: Cooldown is 30 seconds

    Melee strength hero with low agility, below average strength and above average Int / int gain
    base move speed of 315

    Just not original in "it's a mythological beast" concept. You can just throw "it's a fucking giant beast that's going to mess you up" and it's ok.

          Ah, Ok not listening to what you say anymore if you put "An" in front of "hydra". Also if you think nothing can be written for lore about it why do you think a glowing ball of light gets lore?

            So your hero is too op : lot of damage, low cool down and above average intelligence.... It too op you might change cooldown, damage or intelligence to make it harder. Great idea for spells affecting an other but there comes an other problem : the bonuses linked to a spell have,no real link to it might be a good choice.

            Now the lore. I would think that describing him as a mythical monster of the sea and then saying things that have something to do with his abilities.

              A character will always be too Op or too weak, no matter what you do. you can never perfectly balance the game.

              I was more just giving an example of the the spells would do, ofc if they were added they would definitely be changed in one way or another. I think he wouldn't be too op as he is sort of built to synergize with others and has low solo kill potential

                  "An" before a word beginning with the letter H is correct; "An Herb," "An historian," etc.
                  Who cares about the hero numbers? This isn't a gameplay forum, don't bother arguing about it.
                  And if you want a speculative hero to have lore, you'll have to think it up yourself.

                      It's a mix and match. Herb, hour and honor are all "an". Hotel, historian and happy would be "a". And people from Yorkshire just use "an" all the time =P

                          Here's your hero lore:

                          HYDRA was an early capability-based, object-oriented, microkernel designed to support a wide range of possible operating systems to run on top of it. HYDRA was created as part of the C.mmp project at Carnegie-Mellon University in 1971.

                          HYDRA was designed to be modular and secure, and intended to be flexible enough for easy experimentation. The system was implemented in the programming language BLISS.
