  • Techies Lore Discussion

Let's see what we can tell about Techies from their model and responses so far:

They refer to themselves as Techies Demolitions, suggesting that they're part of a business or service. This being a rather any demolitions company, with the slogan "If you want explosions, accept no substitutes!"

Their names are Squee, Spleen, and Spoon. Spleen is small, has a beard (much like alchemist) and a high-pitched voice, and carries a rocket launcher. Squee is larger, pushes their cart of dangerous bombs around, has a normal-pitched voice, and carries a barrel on his back. This barrel filled with the third member, Spoon, who is of indeterminate size (probably smaller than the barrel) and has a low-pitched voice. Squee and Spleen are unaware that Spoon is still alive following the explosion of their lab (possibly caused by Spoon, and likely what kick-starts their adventures in the Dota land). They ignore his presence willfully, even telling him to shut up sometimes.

They will likely be Keenfolk. The current beta model has their skin color as yellow, the same as early-Alpha Timbersaw. Like other Keenfolk, they have a disposition for both Science and Mental Instability, yelling "Science!" and being obsessed with explosions, even to the destruction of their own lab and themselves. They're very intrigued by Alchemist's ability to destroy mountains with his alchemical compounds.

Techies as Keenfolk? They don't even look like Keenfolk. And Timbersaw was yellow because he was previously called the Goblin Shredder, they had to change that to avoid copyright reasons I suppose. It's too early to say anything for certain though, they might change their models, but imho it's unlikely.

Lazyness. Not to mention the lack of bugfixes, and the amount of new ones with each new content added

It's pretty confusing about what race is he? I thought they would be Keen Folk or Smeeville, but the look of its leak is yellowish with Greeville-alike face.
Shouldn't they remodel to be Keen Folk like Timbersaw or Alchemist or even Gyro instead?
