  • Reference hunting and discussion

First of all, i would like to say that i an new on these forums, and i hope to have a fun time with all these fellow gamers who may or may not be normal instead of people shouting "mid or feed" while playing with Keeper of the Light.

I do not know whether a reference hunting thread has been created, if it has, just tell me where it is situated and i shall detour to that same thread and join the hunt.

Let me start with this unexpected gem:

When Terrorblade respawns, he will occasionally say "Bloodied, but unbowed".
This directly references William Ernest Henley's poem "Invictus", which was the favorite poem of Nelson Mandela, and he allegedly said that that poem kept him alive for the 27 years he spent in prison.

    The verse goes as follows:

"In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
    Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed."

Warlock also says this. It's not necessarily a reference, so much as it is something you say when you've been beaten but no truly defeated. I do however support the idea of a thread for spotting references, because Dota 2 is CHOCK FULL of 'em.
