Pugna Lore

Pugna was a mage who destroyed temples, and blew people up. But it never says why he looks green, like a skeleton, and has gigantic horns.

This is the first time I could finally agree with a Pugna lore rant thread.

Why is he a skeleton, seriously?

I personally always imaged he just turned himself immortal by animating (the former grandmasters?) items rather than actually having his own physical body, somewhat like a Lich.
At least it doesn't look like he's a skeleton to be fair, just animated armor.

I now have the vision of a little kid pugna actually inside the armor out of sight, using his spells to create a horrible flaming skull as a intimidation factor^^

I have in my mind an explanation for Pugna's appearance, that doesn't contradict with his current lore.
After destroying the temple, six years old Pugna exhumed the corpse of the former Grandmaster of Oblivion and made some sort of glowing “magic armor” from it. Thus, the real Pugna, a child, is inside of his skeleton armor.

I don't like this explanation, though, because it's too creepy for me and I'd better like to see Pugna as your generic undead character.
