  • Bloodseeker

Bloodseeker is a ritually sanctioned hunter, Hound of the Flayed Twins, sent down from the mist-shrouded peaks of Xhacatocatl in search of blood. The Flayed Ones require oceanic amounts of blood to keep them sated and placated, and would soon drain their mountain empire of its populace if the priests of the high plateaus did not appease them. Bloodseeker therefore goes out in search of carnage. The vital energy of any blood he lets, flows immediately to the Twins through the sacred markings on his weapons and armor. Over the years, he has come to embody the energy of a vicious hound; in battle he is savage as a jackal. Beneath the mask, in the rush of bloody quenching, it is said that you can sometime see the features of the Flayers taking direct possession of their Hound.

The story itself is nice, Bloodseeker has always been a bit random to me in DotA 1, he is a real bloodhound now and makes so much more sense in Dota 2. Can we keep his name, Strygwyr, in there somewhere though? I kinda like that name.

I can't help noticing the possible connection between Juggernaut's Isle of Masks and Bloodseeker though, the 2 of them fit together very well. Is Xhacatocalt on that same island? Considering it's located on the peaks of mountains it could have been spared by the waves which would also explain why the Flayed Twins had to send out a Bloodseeker in the first place. Unfortunately there are a couple of hiccups in that connection cause of Juggernaut's story...

I like this story because it makes sense for him to search for the bloodiest battle which is the one featured in the game. So the motivation and reason to be in this particular battle is clear.

Reason to fight is obvious, bloodhound theme is prefectly executed... the only thing i'm not liking is the fact it's not linking towards other heroes.... as chair said yuggernaut is a perfect idea.

Juggernaut is the juggernaut, bitch. No need to link him with Bloodseeker, he just spins with a sword, I don't see any connection.

You could mention how he is drawn to the blood, and can sense it from long distances. Or something. I've never been good at epic writing.

One of the best stories so far.
