                    You really think Valve are gonna monetize mods? I'm just having a hard time seeing how, considering how poorly TF2 maps were monetized with the whole map hat.

                        hm if i look at cs:go for example, they made a fine job giving the community a map bundle they could support but maps were still free for dedicated servers.
                        If you find spelling errors, you are free to take them.

                          That works in CS:GO because the official Valve MM only has Valve made maps. User created maps can be hosted by everyone but they are not in the official MM pool.
                          They would have to copy the new 'mission' system from operations. Pay something and unlock achievements in certain mods to get a special coin.
