      TL;DR: There is a broadcasting dispute. Riot wants more control. They apply for a trademark which is very similar to an already existing one. Riot expects OGN to split broadcasting rights 50-50 between them and Spo TV. OGN is unhappy since they created/heavily invested in competitive LoL in KR. Many Koreans know that OGN made LoL successful in Korea.

          FIX MMR POINTS TO BE AWARDED FOR INDIVUDUAL PERFORMANCE RATHER THAN WHOLE TEAM SHARING THE FATE FOR THE FEEDER AND VICE VERSA. SO THAT YOU CAN HAVE +VE MMR POINTS EVEN AFTER A LOSS IF YOU DID REALLY WELL.
          ADD THE SURRENDER BUTTON SO THE CRUSHED TEAM DOES NOT WASTE >10 MINS AFK AT FOUNTAIN
          ADD SIZE CUSTOMIZATION FOR THE HUD.

              I did play LoL in the early days and have been keeping an eye on LoL ever since. Part reason being many of my friends play LoL. But if I were to play LoL now I would be hopeless. The people who closely follow know what kind of shit Riot Games have done but the casual fans don't care about it. They don't care about the people who work behind the scene. If you are a company and want to be involved with LoL e.g. a tournament organizer, a broadcasting company or even be a professional player. Riot Games will put up some questionable contracts.

              This drama is similar to the Starcraft-Blizzard-KeSPA-tournament drama a long time ago. The Koreans didn't stomach it well thus the transition from SCBW to SC2 was a failure. But this one will just be one of many which will be forgotten in a few months.

              I still play Dota 2 but only custom games.

                              Custom games are flawed when it comes to leavers, every time the game doesn't go like someone wants, they leave, and the rest follow, leaving you with 1 or 2 other people playing.
