That guy is just a complete Valveknight. However, he does bring up some valid points, especially about the whole GIFF DIRETIDE and VOLVO PLS thing.

It's not a good way to get your complaints heard. It's childish, moronic, and utterly retarded to expect any kind of serious response from Valve with this kind of behaviour. For a group that has serious, legitimate grievances with the way Valve is handling community management, all we're doing is shooting ourselves in the foot by acting like fucking apes and spoiled brats on Metacritic and Facebook and reddit and beyond. I mean it was funny here for the first while, but when things started to get somewhat more serious I'd really like to see the idiocy put to the side for a while so that the serious complaints can be addressed. I'd much prefer to see some kind of formal group put together to present Valve with their complaints in a more official and less-idiotic fashion. In my opinion, that would be a much better way of getting a response than fifty lines of "GIVE DIRETIDE VOLVO" in a Metacritic review and voting 0 for their game like a child throwing a bloody tantrum.

Just to reiterate - I am not a Valveknight. I'm just trying to cut through all the bullshit and introduce some reason and order to this whole process.

Anyway, people will forget about this in a couple of weeks, and all will be back to normal.

You're not an intelligent person, are you Volvo drone?

Closing this thread would be like closing Mecca for Muslims, Vatican for Christians... It would only create a greater rage and ensure the ENTIRE forums would be spammed with Diretide threads. People would get even more angry and Metacritic would get spammed even faster. I kinda want that (lower score on Metacritic), but this thread is beyond holy.


There's a reason every Dota player must take a journey to the Patch Anticipation Station at least once in his life, and 'tis the holliest of them all, as well as the greatest. We must cherish it, and let mods NEVER remove it. We don't need monthly/weekly PAS's, this one should last a lifetime, for it is SACRED.
