Not only is it getting ridiculous that you guys are going to pages that have literally nothing to do with Valve (Volvo, I can understand, even other MOBAs, I understand too...), but it is going too far. If you want to spam Give DIRETIDE on other pages, that's fine. But don't come to the PAS to rally your mob squad to do it too. It won't be allowed anymore.

EDIT: Just to make it clear, I even joined in on the "Give DIRETIDE" shenanigans on the 31st. I thought it was funny. But it is now the 2nd of November. Stop it. It's over. I actually think this is a good way to "punish" Valve for not communicating with its players.
Hadn't it been for DotA 2 being such a great game and addictive most people would have left and then Valve would have lost a great deal of their player base but as you can see it won't happen just because players love Dota 2.
Personally speaking i don't mind not getting a halloween event this year, but we do we not get a freaking post explaining why or something like that? I mean, how hard is it for Dota 2 devs to post a 2-lined sentence explaining things so players don't drive nuts.

That wasn't even my argument, my point is that it's out of your boundaries to make a rule about this subject, which is completely biased towards one side. I don't agree with the spamming of random websites, but this completely arbitrary rule that you mods made up because you don't like it is complete bullshit. Especially since most of the websites posted are already being raided. If you're argument is that it's not relevant to DotA 2 then you have a lot of cleaning up to do in this thread.

You don't get how moderation works. We give people chances. If I was to ban people after every first attempt there would literally be like 5 people on this forum. We let people spam other "semi-related" forums with Give DIRETIDE spam but up until now it never got to the point it became harassing people that have nothing to do with Valve. Letting people spam Volvo was probably a mistake, but look at how they took it, so no harm no foul.

That is a moderators job, if we feel like something is going nowhere good fast, we have the right to enforce a rule to prevent further damage. Our job as volunteer moderators is to keep this place clean and try our best to keep it civil. There is nothing clean and civil about posting links to facebook pages of people like Obama and spamming Give DIRETIDE.

Not only does it literally do nothing to help our cause. But it is downright childish.

Also to your last sentence:
