        • Keowee, I'm curious. I know LaNm's nickname in Chinese is 國士無雙. Why does it get shortened to 國土 instead of 國士?
We need a player review system like Overwatch for DotA 2. Get real people to judge communication abuse, intentional skill abuse, and intentional feeding.

I have a feeling that 士 (pronounced shi4) is a typo instead of 士 (pronounced tu3). The former means "person", while the latter means "land". In all the interviews, I hear him called 國土, never 國士. Also, you're using traditional chinese characters (that Taiwan and Hong Kong use) instead of the simplified ones (that China uses), so that adds an additional level of confusion lol.

I did a quick search of chinese forums and found both used, which convinces me that 國士 is a typo. It might be a mistake caused by a certain type of keyboard input if you type by strokes as compared to syllables. Try differentiating between 士土士土土士士土士土士士土士土土士士土士土士士

Once misspelled, and then it just stuck on him. Somewhat like XBOCT-XBOX in the old days.

LaNM's full nickname is 国士无双 (loose translation - "Unparalleled State Warrior"). 国土 is the typo.

This is a Chinese language interview with LaNm, where he is referred to in both writing and speech as "國士無雙." (I use traditional for personal reasons; I think they look better than simplified, which in this case would be "国士无双.")

I guess after so many misspellings he simply accepted 国土 as his shorter nickname.

Yup. Can't even compete for "player with most deaths" (I put Kuroky there)
