    i never heard valve ask people to give inputs to create new heroes? did they?

                bump. Curious to see what others think of the rails idea. Its a unique mechanic while not being too distant from the existing heroes (tinker, clock, timber, brood).

                  I was thinking it might be cool to change his name to something along the lines of 'Casey Ramrod'. Casey - attributing the famous engineer Casey Jones, who died trying to save others when his train rammed into another stationary train. Ramrod - just because it is fitting and sounds cool. Or perhaps 'Ramrod Jones' sounds better.... Thoughts?

                        Questions
                        - Does he lay rails for the length that he blinks/force staffs?
                        - What kind of damage does Battering Ram deal? (i.e. Physical, Magical, Pure, etc.)
                        - Why does Spreadshot reduce attack speed so much?

                        Pros
                        - If stun threshold for Battering Ram is unaffected after blink or force staff he could be a viable initiator.
                        - Has a flash farm ability (Spreadshot) to enable him to acquire his core items faster
                        - Defensive laner

                        Cons
                        - Flash farm ability lacks the "flash" aspect
                        - Coolown to duration ratio on ultimate is extremely small considering the effects it yeilds
                        - Little to no presence early game
                        - Some presence mid game but still lacking game-changing impact
                        - Synergy between abilities is somewhat weak
                        - Has an initiation but has no follow up or significant durability
                        - Battering Ram is easily juked

                        Suggestions
                        - Make splitshot increase your attack speed or replace it with a blink, nuke, or preferably a farming ability (i.e. Sandstorm, Crystal Nova, Scream of Pain, etc.)
                        - Increase ult duration dramatically or increase it slightly and include another effect such as team magic immunity when on rails or a global slow.
                        - Remove turn speed deduction
                        - Make int gain between 2.5 and 3.5
                        - Base mana should be fairly high to be a defensive tri-lane candidate

                        Good idea for a hero. I can see him serving many purposes.

                          Questions:
                          1. I'm not sure. It could go either way, i guess. Does Batriders firefly lay fire for the length of blink/FS?
                          2. Magical I think. See below for my possible rework to Battering Ram and Spreadshot.
                          3. Because it is basically a 100% cleave for every hit while active. If AS was not reduced it would be overpowered. Comparable skills are Medusas arrow split, which reduces damage drastically. And Gyro's Flack Cannon, which has a pretty long cooldown (for a regular skill).

                          Pros: I agree
                          Cons:
                          1. Like Tiny, put some attack speed on him and he wrecks aoe with his right click. Also, then he'll hit even harder when ult is active.
                          2. Perhaps CD should be reduced, but basically it makes his initiation much easier, in addition to reducing the (indirect) Battering Ram cooldown almost to 0. On top of that, if Spreadshot is active and he succeeded in stunning a group of heroes, he will be hitting them all for 100% damage.
                          3. I see what you mean. I think this needs fixed, as I don't intend him to be a hard carry.
                          4. See 3.

                          Suggestions:
                          Turn speed is only reduced while Lay Rails is active. This is for balance, because if he could turn on a dime then Lay Rails would be too powerful for juking. You could still setup rails with quick turns, you would just have to do so slowly.
                          Agreed, he should have enough mana to have a viable early game, as well as being able to (almost) perma-rail in the late game.

                          Possible rework to Battering Ram + Spreadshot:
                          Rotate Frontal Module (W):
                          Ramrod Jones rotates his frontal module to switch between a long range cannon and a short ranged spreadshot.
                          Subskill 1 - Long Range Cannon (E)
                          Channels for 2 seconds to fire a 250 aoe blast at minimum 500 to maximum 1500 range.
                          Damage - 90 / 180 / 270 / 360
                          Mana cost - 150 / 150 / 150 / 150
                          Cooldown - 30 / 25 / 20 / 15 (ult reduces cooldown by 10 seconds while active)
                          Subskill 2 - Spreadshot (E)
                          Instantly fires, damaging units in a cone directly in front of hero within 200 range.
                          Damage - 75 / 150 / 225 / 300
                          Mana cost - 60 / 80 / 100 / 120
                          Cooldown - 8 / 7 / 6 / 5 (ult reduces cooldown by 3 seconds while active)

                          Battering Ram:
                          Ramrod Jones equips his frontal module with heavier and harder material, enabling him to ram enemies with destructive force. Also gives damage reduction to sources within 70 degrees of his front. A ram occurs whenever an enemy unit is impacted by Ramrods front end.
                          This is a passive skill, with a cooldown of 10 seconds (5 seconds while ult is active)
                          Frontal damage reduction: 15% / 20% / 25% / 30%
                          Ram damage: Scales with move speed. 0 damage at base move speed (280), 100 / 200 / 300 / 400 damage at max move speed (522 or w/e).
                          Stun duration: Scales with move speed. 1 second at base move speed, 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 seconds at max move speed.

                          What do you think?

                              the problem is it drags atention when it could be used on more productive threads and we all know hero suggestion threads shouldnt be posted here to begin with and it wont achieve nothing by adding another useless thread on the forum.
