  • COURIER FIX!! read!

    My suggestion is:

    Have a dedicate an area for the couriers, out of the way of the shops view. This can be a cage, bed, mat or carpet.




    The dedicated area has options when you click on it:
    - Revive Courier
    - Return Couriers Home

    Whenever you buy 1 courier or more, each appear on the dedicated area.

    When a courier is dead, if you click the dedicated area, it will show a respawn timer for that courier.

    When upgrade to a Flying Courier, the dedicated area will have a perch for the flying courier to land on.

    When sending the courier back to base, the courier will go to the dedicated area.

      So you CANT buy 2 couriers? People do it on purpose sometimes (Bottle crowing like a boss)

                  +1, however it changes the mechanics of the game. Because there technically could be some strange reason you want more than one courier.

                      I like this, +1. I actually find it quite annoying that the flying courier parks itself directly in front of the shop when it is automatically sent back to the base. Can't tell you how many times I've clicked the flying courier instead of the shop on accident and then it puts the items I buy on the courier. Have to transfer again and hope no one else is using it etc.. Pain in the butt sometimes. Nice idea here.

                        I saw it yesterday at The Defense, I think it was in the WW vs J4T game. If you have 2 people bottle crowing in the team, is kinda a valid option.

                        Anyway, I like the idea, but the problem is you can't forbid buying 2 couriers if a team wants to.

                            make them have max stock of 1 and take 5 seconds to replenish or the such, maybe a confirmation message if buying second one(can be turned off in options)

                              I like this idea a lot. How about only one shared courier per team (like your idea suggests) and players can buy their own couriers and not share them in they want to. The one that rests in the cage is the shared one.
                              Anyways, though, this is a balance change, and impossible to do in the WC3 engine, so don't expect to see it for quite a while.
