Although I have never played wc3 dota many people have complained about the micro management system being inferior to wc3. Having experience with sc2 In also agree the micromanagment aspect of this game is subpar, lacking in consistancy and quality. Hotkeyed control groups randomly disappear for re-summoned units for some people, when multiple units are selected and using the hotkey for a common ability has only one of them use said ability, selecting the familiars is very awkward due to their displacement, and controlling multiple units with multiple abilities in the same group is more awkward. In general its really clunky :/ Im hoping valve continue to expand on this system, tightening it and polishing it.
Dota 2 is still beta but you think the micromanagement system would be a top priority especially when has such a large impact. There hasn't been much progress with this system since they made a special indicator on the selection circles to show who the primary unit of a selected group is. So im wondering how signifigant does the community think this issue is? Does valve also know how inferior the system is and when will they continue to improve upon it?
