You misunderstood, it's not like I think verbal / text abuse are forgivable, it's just that there are SO many cases they shouldn't qualify for reports. I'd rather have bad manners tied to a +1 -1 system and reserve reports for truly game-ruining experiences like griefing, AFKing, etc.

Remember you can always mute the ragers etc. so there is a 'fix'. On the other hand, griefing has no fix except reporting and that's why these cases need to be dealt with ASAP. That's my reasoning.

+1 and -1 system overall is a good idea, but could be abused by people giving -1s for nothing. I think that maybe a better idea would be if you were actually required to recommend or nope every player that has played in the match with you. On the end you wouldn't be able to leave the match without grading other people's activity.

Nah, people would see it as a chore. Also most of the time you focus on 1-2 players and you have no clue on everyone else's behavior. In the end supports or people who just have a bad KDA by the end of the match would get downvoted to oblivion, since that's the most evident thing you'd be able to track at the end of the game.

True abuse would come from premades mass-downvoting a single person (just like it happens with reports). Limiting teams to 1 'collective' vote would fix it though.

+1 for the thumbs up idea, for commending people after a game, with the log. I agree with the idea that people dont really go for the commendations as it is time consuming, and shitty. And the reason for commending people (friendly, leadership etc.) if i want to commend someone, its generally for playing well or being a good leader or whatever, just thumbs ups would do. The pop up idea is good, but not in game, maybe afterwards on your profile.
Reporting people and for why they are reported, i have no problem with, i regularly get msgs for "We recently took action against one of the players you reported" blablabla, and LPQ is enough to frustrate ppl to shit. Make em wait 5 mins before a game can be started, for 2 weeks IMO

Why?

Because it is a fully useless system that the majority of the players never use/don't care about, and since you can just ask your friends to commend you multiple times it creates useless information. Also most people don't commend friendly, teaching, forgiving, etc... people, they just commend people that killed a lot in the game. Tired of seeing people from the other team begging for commends at the end of the game.

This system needs to be fully remade.

You can only get commended one time by one person, after that if you try to commend someone again it says you have already commended this player. I agree the system needs a re-haul but this could be a good temporary fix to garner more interest.

Being commended feels good and right now it's the only price for being friendly (other than being friendly itself).
