Why would playing on EU servers change his mind?
We need a player review system like Overwatch for DotA 2. Get real people to judge communication abuse, intentional skill abuse, and intentional feeding.

I'm not saying that valve should prevent them from playing in their own server, what i AM saying is that valve should add a language filter...for Portuguese and Spanish, and this is mainly because people who can speak English (and some who cant) from south america are playing on the US servers instead of their own , just because when they do play on their own server, they get called "gringo" and insulted just because they cant speak Portuguese.

Well I never really played on South American servers but I can relate to that problem, as it used to be the same with russians on EU servers. We have a lot of different languages in Europe, which is why everyone here can speak english - but that didn't seem to apply to every russian. So hey, getting a russian server worked for us, I don't see why not to at least split the SA server into a portuguese and a spanish section.

All Brazilians should not be able to play in any community based online game. IMHO.
I'm, unfortunately, brazilian, and i know how disrespectful and non cooperative we can be.

One thing I heard, I could be wrong here, but when they were giving BR/SA a server for HoN, they tend to overcharge and underperform in that part of the world. It's like Australia - it's expensive. However, I heard BR companies will still have a host in, like, Dallas, but still upcharge the client.

Maybe someone with experience in servers can confirm this.

Because compared to the EU Servers, the American Servers do have ALOT of english speaking users.

we can still have the server on brazil and put a spanish filter. no need to put it on another country.

Yeah, that was one possibility, and its the best solution in my opinion.

Last time I played on South America I got told "This is Br server idiot, f*ck off".

It seems those Brazilians you mention already think that is a Brazilian server rather than generic South American.

So... probably you should simply play USA servers, as you speak English anyway, and let the Brazilians have the SA one fpr themselves?

That´s exactly what we are trying to avoid, people from South america having to go to the North america servers due to Brazilians who dont want/dont know how to share a space with someone who is not from Brazil...

no because there are a lot of ppl who dont know english and will just ruin/make angry usa players. you can even see the south america channel spammed with portuguese all day. most of the spanish speakers just go to custom channels for their own country and others goe to the channel ! Argentina wich has ppl from all places except br.

Fixed SA servers and proper language options (Honestly I do think Valve dropped the ball here with this one, it really isn't hard to add more of these language options to prevent the situation you're describing) should fix the issue in due time.

Of course, there always be the odd morons who can't use a gaming client properly and still will end up lost in US/EU/CN servers making some player's matches a competely miserable experience.

Of course, there is always people that doesn´t seem to know how to use a game client, and it is not that hard (i guess) to valve to add a new language (or two) to the "language" filters, so that everyone can play with whoever they want to play, and not being stuck in a situation as the one Storm described.
