Request to separate Brazil / Rest of south america server.

I am Brazillian, and sort of agree with this.

The current server location is in Brazil, and it sucks for several other SA countries as some people already have mentioned, because their ISP makes some crazy routing. I do believe a new server, located somewhere like chile, peru, colombia, or even in a central america country would both help alleviate the ping issue and make the game better for everyone on the South American server.

Also, a Portuguese / Spanish option on the language filter is needed ASAP.

By the way, as much as spanish people complain about BRs on the team, I also have to say that it sucks a LOT when the opposite happens to me: You try playing on a team with 4 spanish speaking players that do not speak portuguese or english. It's as bad, or maybe even worse, than you guys playing with a lolbr team. If a Portuguese language option were added, I'd never, ever mm in anything other than it, othar than the odd day when I feel like playing on the US East server to find better players. I can assure you most huehuehuehuebrs would also do the same, because as annoying as these guys are, they don't like playing with "gringos" either. Everybody wins.

There is a language barrier kid, and the people of argentina has a good ping in Brazil, so does the Chileans who have VTR as their ISP, but to me it's 250ms minimun, and that's not acceptable, and if you look at the isp backbone map you will see that even tho brazil is a populated country they have not that many connections to other countries, so most of the traffic is made going to US East first, which is pretty stupid, I don't really care about the language since I use the chat wheel, but the ping is enough reason to me to not to play on the brazilian servers, and that's a reason you should respect, I honestly don't give a fuck about your economy nor your population, I want a server that is LOCATED IN A DECENT POSITION FOR SOUTH AMERICA, cuz right now most of the countries have ping issues there, and that's not even considering the people who won't use the chat wheel nor use english

PS: Just created a lobby on Brazil and I got stable 334ms ping, that alone is enough reason to make another server on a better location

Sorry to hear that from all of non-brazilians, it must be really frustrating to plaay either with high ms or being bashed from the other players for not speaking portuguese, I confess that I am a little guilty in some cases when some non-portuguese speakers tends to do stupid stuff and complaints about lag all the time, because dota is a very tense game and when you're trying hard to win a problem like that can unfortunately make people very angry. But I try to control myself because most of the time, their lag is not their problem.

The best and fastest way to fix this was to add a Spanish/Portuguese filter to the servers and later then create new servers in another country that would suit you better.

But from my experience (playing only very high level ranked games) it's pretty rare to meet people from outside brazil, I would say that brazilians are 95% of my rank playing on the SA servers.

because brazilians are known to be bad players, I'm not saying they are, but it's their global image, so if you're a good player, you don't speak portughese and you have a similar ping in both countries, I'd rather play in US East

Just to a little reminder: We in Europe got a Russian server.. but still most russians play on EU server. Do you really think there will be any changes at all with a SA and Brazil server? I can guarantee there won't.
