  • Bastion announcer was updated, that's great! But...

He still calls io by wisp. I know he is still technically wisp, but since his main name was changed to io I thought the announcer should also call him that for the sake of consistency. Also, IDK if Shadow Fiend tends to be renamed to Nevermore (judging by the files of his new model).

Nevertheless it's great to see this was updated, it's something I've been personally jarring for some time.

Here's hoping no more heroes get name changes.

Lazyness. Not to mention the lack of bugfixes, and the amount of new ones with each new content added

Confirmed how? Maybe he just based it on how he is in DotA1 now and recorded the lines because the hero didn't exist back as he recorded the announcer pack.

You know that Bastion announcer pack is updated recently right? And he calls Oracle as 'he' there. I don't think Valve will make Oracle female, since they recently updated Bastion and to change Oracle's gender would mean changing Rucks's record again (which they wouldn't do since they already recorded those lines recently -> TL;DR : Valve is lazy ), and %99 i say Oracle will be male.

Why would anyone assume it won't be a male?

It was a popular idea back when he was released. Many people, me included, thought that "Nerif the Oracle" would be female when reading the patch notes. Everyone was surprised to see that he used the male priest model instead of a female one. Turns out, there wasn't one to use! This spawned the idea that his DotA appearance was a placeholder.

Since Oracle is already in development in Dota 2 and they added these lines only now, I'd say that the Oracle will be a man afterall.

male, not man, judging by his alpha textures he won't even be human, although it can still change.

Yes, I know that it got updated. Still no 100% for Oracle to be male. I don't think that they'd let an announcer pack who has one line for a char decide what gender a hero will have.

Anyway, I doubt that Oracle is going to be female anyway. Either male, or genderless.

Maybe female Oracle will be arcana.

Each arcana was unique in some aspect. Blades of Voth Domosh changed the hero aliment. Fractal Horns of Inner Abysm can be changed to any color you like.

Adding gender changing cosmetic to existing hero will definitely meet huge wave of negativity. But if you release it for Oracle as arcana on release and tied it with lore somehow I think it will be accepted and will have a huge success.
