  • Maybe I'm crazy, but did Axe's blink dagger dialogue change?

Before last week's patch, I could have sworn that when you bought a blink dagger as Axe, he used to say something like:

"Precious blink dagger, do not worry, Axe does not come to chop"

But I've played him 3 times since the last patch, and he most definitely says:

"Precious Axe, do not worry, blink dagger does not come to chop"

Sounds very odd to me o_O

It's always been the latter. He's telling his axe to not get jealous about him buying blink dagger.

If you think the line doesn't make sense we can talk about turn it off.

"Precious Axe, do not worry, blink dagger does not come steal your chop"

Current is fine, but I think this one is better.

OHHHHHHHHHHH ok, I think I understand now, but this is still confusing as it does not match any of his other dialogue.

Axe always talks in the 3rd person, so it's kind of odd to hear him say axe to refer to his weapon.

I feel like this line could definitely be worked on, as it is already funny (though awkwardly worded), and has the potential to be really funny. Please do not remove the line though, I just think it needs to be clarified.

I just misinterpreted because Axe is always talking about constantly cutting and attacking everything, it totally makes sense for him to talk to his blink dagger and reassure that he will not chop it.

Not to mention daggers cannot really "chop" people like an axe can, mostly stabbing and cutting.
