  • Separate Hero and Announcer volume channels?

There are some heroes, like Queen of Pain, that I would rather not hear.

I looked into modding the sounds, but that seems to be unavailable now.

Right now 'Unit' volume controls will turn off both the hero and the announcer, and I would like to keep the announcer option.

Is there any way to do this that I missed?

Yes, there wasn't such feature since the very beginning of Dota 2.I wrote about this issue here and on reddit, unfortunately it seems not many players have such desires as us. After 3k+ hours in the game I just cannot stand the same lines being repeated over and over again (I turned off music after ~200h despite liking VGM). However hearing the announcer is important if not vital. Other similar games (Heroes of Newerth, Heroes of the Storm) have this feature.
