  • Fixing Sven's "Forward!" line

    It sounds wayyyy too much like "Fart!"

  • #2
    maybe if you just started high school

      First, I thought it was Fart! And Kunkka's "set my jib" was "suck my jib" -- after hearing such lines a second or third time listening more closely I heard something like "fhaaArt" and "set my jib".

      Here I thought that Sven was saying something a phrase in a different language like BH's "ah, go-pree-rah" or grunting something, but "forward?" huh.

      Indeed, "forwAAAArt" does sound too much like "fArt!". This would have a lot to do with the emphases on the syllables; forward is always "FOREward", while sven instead says it with emphasis on "ward" leading to "forWARD". And it's not even pronounced "fore" or "four" and "wurd" "werd" -- the first r is barely audible, and since the A is extended, with a clear second R, and sven's accent making the d into a T...

      Mis-hearing it as "fhAAArt" is no surprise. The w and h sounds blend a little too well. If the first half of the word were longer, it would be much easier to undertand.

      "fwhAAArt!" --> "fhore.WAAArt!"

          I never had confusion about this line.

              i agree, Sven's voice sounds dull, admiting he wears a helmet, i can inderstand this, but some of his phrases are hardly understandable

                It sounds like "FORD" to me.
                And it's even worse when you can't hear rubick's lines well

                  By the way, Sven is very well aware about this case, but explaining mishearing of "fart" is over the top.

                  "It's Rogue Knight, it's not rouge knight. Dammit!"
                  "Not omelet, Armlet!"
