  • Hero response sounds.

    Is there a option to not hear any hero response sounds and still be able to hear stuff that announcer says (double kill and tower is under attack) ?
    Its just hero responses in teamfights really clash together and it sound all mashed up and is really distracting.

      That turns announcer off, too.

      No, there isn't such an option ingame yet. Only 3 options, either everything on, or only event speech on (casting spells, killing lines, item buying and announcer), or fully off.
      Please, just call me buny.

        Thanks m8 lets hope valve think the same way that this is really distracting and clusterfuck of sounds.

          Idk, I like all the sounds and they all have a purpose.

          Unit response = immoersion + reaction (under attack, runes, immortality, etc)
          Spell sounds = know exactly what spell is being cast
          Music = immersion

          But I respect your opinion and yes, the ability to pick and choose can only be beneficial.

            I think Valve should implement something along those lines, for players like yourself who don't want to hear all the kerfuffle. But I personally enjoy all the sounds of Dota 2. Coming from LoL about a year back, the change is a drastic one, of how many sounds and responses there are. (Walking sounds, item acquired sounds, dying sounds, rival kill sounds, all of the announcer sounds, deny sounds, last hit sounds) Hell, Tuskar says more variations of sounds for his Ultimate than ANY LoL champion has in total for all of their sounds. and I appreciate this.

            Maybe they should have an option to turn all Sam A. Mowry sounds off.
