  • Game volume doesn't lower while using microphone.

Was something changed recently?(I haven't played dota for a while, just came back) Earlier when a player used his microphone in-game, their game volume gets slightly lower. This seems to be changed, and now it feels really weird using the mic when you don't get the feedback of what you're saying in your head cuz the game sounds are too loud! Is there anyway to revert back to the old way?

I googled around a bit before posting and I already tried "Sound > Communication > Reduce the volume of other sounds" but it doesn't change anything at all.

I don't recall Dota 2 lowering volume when you speak. I know Windows has an option that lowers your volume when you use the microphone.

I'm pretty sure, like 100% this was the case before, I already tried the windows option but it doesn't work.

I googled a bit. Dota 2 never actively lowered the volume when you spoke or heard other people speaking. Such option does not exist in Dota 2. It was always something else interfering e.g. Windows, Skype, Teamspeak or w/e.

You'll have to search somewhere else. Your issue isn't Dota 2 related. You'd have the same problem in other games.
