  • Pennant is a waste of money

It says it makes you eligible for tournament drops, but I have watched every single Na'Vi and Fnatic game of the the International with pennants for both and I didn't get a single drop...
Is this a scam? False advertising? Eligible means what? 1/100,000 chance of getting drops? Cos I was watching and I only saw 5 or so players getting drops each time mutli-kills etc happened. I feel like this is a scam and I resent the fact that I bought this pennant with the promise of drops and got nothing. Anyone else wanna weigh in? Are there any statistics and have Valve given anything else on this subject other than the clearly false advertising in the store description?

you ARE eligible for tournament drops so its not false advertising (they never promise that you WILL get a drop). what they do not tell you is that your chance is like [4/number of viewers] so your chance is like [4/(50k to 250k+)] at TI3 since theres so many viewer (compendium owners also have a chance of getting drops).

imo, its not worth it if you want drops. but if you want to just support your team, then okay, since they get a % of the profit from their team's pennant sales.

Eligible doesn't mean guaranteed drop. Deal with it.

Pennants are not for item drops , it's for support your favourite team.

pennant now as a fans appreciation item towards the team
BAD person is someone who only think that he/she is a pro and others are noob and then blame the Matchmaking challenge.
GOOD person is someone who accept the Matchmaking challenge and succeeded getting a teamwork in his/her team
