  • Picture-in-picture directed camera?

I watch a lot of dota, and I usually spectate using directed camera. But sometimes in very aggressive games, there might be big plays happening at two different locations on the map. We can only see one at a time currently, but wouldn't it be great if we could watch everything interesting without having to resort to manual camming?

I don't know anything about the current directed camera algorithm or how it chooses to show what it does, but I would imagine that there's some measure of importance of watching a particular play. When there are multiple locations with high importance, it could show both scenes at the same time, in a little panel roughly the size of the minimap. Maybe even allow users to switch between what they would rather watch, which could provide data to the algorithm as to which plays players prefer to observe.
