  • Player name marking (Read this, just 1-2 lines)

Add player name pop-ups to the hero images located at the top of the screen (those 10 images).
    It would be really helpful.

It would take space on the screen and I fail to see the utility of this...

If you wonder who's playing who, just open the scoreboard when you have half a sec and you'll find your friend

If after 50mins game you still don't know who's playing who, even after checking it multiple times... then there's a problem with you bro, not with the game ^^

Nooo, you got me all wrong.
It would be a pop-up screen. When you hover the mouse cursor over the hero's icon you get a little popup message containing the player's name that's controlling the hero. (or even the hero's name too, newbie friendly.. you know..)

        Oh I see...

Yeah sure why not... I don't actually see this hurting the UI

How about we make it like the minimap's ALT for Hero Name feature? Hold down ALT and the names show up on the top bar.

Sounds good to me. Might not be intuitive for new players though. Perhaps add an additional button in the top bar where you toggle names on/off, similar to ALT button.

Perhaps player name as well ? Preferably not, I suppose. But yeah, as long as it doens't stay there by default ( as I already think the top bar is too big, too distracting ), no reason not to implement for a couple of practical purposes.

                      That would work too.

PS: I saw that this didn't get implemented yet, that's why I necro'ed the thread.
