I think what you are looking for is this cvar:

dota_spectator_auto_spectate_games - Automatically spectate available games

Although it doesn't have an interface like your suggestion, and you can't apply any filters to it yet, but I guess it would work for now.

    [Suggestion] Looping Spectate Game Option

I love spectating Dota - even more I actually enjoy playing it! I like to have a spectated front-page game continuously running while I have the tv on, do work in my room, read etc. Some people leave the tv running while at home, I leave DotaTV running.

It would be nice if there was an option for an 'continuous spectating' feature.

When the current spectated game ends, another will be chosen at random from a set of criteria (games from the front page? game with the highest current total spectators? highest avg match mmr? games at least X minutes i length?) and thus I wont need to keep coming back to the computer to choose a new game to spectate myself.

This may sound silly, unnecessary or strange to some people. But DotaTV for me can be the equivilant of TV for others, and I just like to leave it running - and I love spectating. So why cant I have DotaTV function like my tv and constantly stream games without needing me to constantly choose another when the current live match ends? Just let me choose my criteria (eg: present on front page, or highest number of current spectators) and ill leave it running for hours!
Working...
