  • [Suggestion] tv relays for huge competitive matches?

Recent the defence tournament finals showed that stv servers are unable to handle that much viewers- the game becomes impossible to play or watch. So I'm suggesting some smart (probably automated) use of tv_relay command for important competitive matches. This can really kill two birds with one stone:
    1. The ability to watch the game for a really good amount (up to infinite, if needed) of viewers without any ingame lags for players- all the viewers will watch the game on another server(s). It'll be better to close primary dotatv server from viewers (can be done by tv_password 125342523452345654367) to be 100% sure the game wont lag.
    2. DDOS protection. It'll be much harder to ddos if you dont know gameserver IP. At the moment, it's too easy to get it from dotatv (just click "watch game" and open console/type "status"). As a tf2 top level player, i'd say that ddos protection is a must for any competitive game.
However, it's more expensive, since you need more servers.
Sorry for my terrible english, feel free to add smth smart here.

If you were watching the feed from Tobi, you would have heard that Zoid was heavily involved in the technical running of the tournament and implemented a temporary solution eventually to enable it to run smoothly. I'm sure Zoid was highly stressed by the events of last night and will be working on a permanent solution as we speak.
