Unattended spectator mode?

  • Unattended spectator mode?

I know esports venues (bars, restaurants and such) are rising in popularity. I suggest that a spectator interface be made for the dota 2 client such that it includes no interact able icons or any excess space used. The display would be controlled on another screen or somewhere else for the purposes of maximizing screen real estate.

Reminds me of an idea I had - I usually spectate a game and leave it on while i do other things in my room. When the game ends, I have to go find another one - there should be an auto 24/7 feature that will skip to the next most popular live match when the one I was watching ends. That will work for esports venues as well - unattended mode.

      The console command
      dota_spectator_auto_spectate_games 1

will do what you want, HMAN911.

Truly! That is great - will try it tonight. On what basis does it pick the next game to watch?

I don't know, actually. Never used it myself. I assume it picks the Top Live Game.

I use this command, while it connects automatically i still have to manually exit a game. Was it always like this?

There is another command (forget it, but it should be easy to find with the console intellisense) that disconnects from completed games after something like 1 minute.
Rules to be a good beta tester:
              1. Don't bring WC3 limitations to DOTA 2.
              2. Be an example. You are not here to play ALL games for fun. You are here to test so we can have a better game.
              3. Don't say that something is working as intended, unless it makes complete sense, not just because it was like DOTA 1.
              4. Being a better player than someone doesn't mean his argument is null-and-void.
              5. Use the search.

Would you be kind enough to find this command? i've searched google and this is the only thread that comes up and have looked at every code which i thought might describe its meaning but havent found it. It musn't be obvious or intellisense would have helped.
