  • [Suggestion] Allow Spectators to zoom out more and split screen.

Obviously the view needs to be fixed for various design/gameplay reasons when you're a player, but as a spectator it would be hugely useful to be able to zoom out and get a wider view of the playing field.

    This is a good idea.

You can already with dota_camera_distance (1134 being the regular maximum)

Granted they should implement a more user friendly option

          Split screen

My friend and I were just spectating a live game and we thought that it would be nice if you could split the screen once, or multiple times you you could spectate multiple players/heros/areas at once. Just a suggestion!

Good suggestion, and should be possible with the Source engine.

Might as well also include zooming in more while we're at it.

Some of my (awesome) suggestions :
                    - Left4Dead/Portal 2 style voice command
                    - Music Transitions depending on area and time
                    - Show full item recipe tree without opening shop menu

The difference when implemented in HoN spectator mode made it a hell of alot easier to cast as well as spectate.

This would be useful. It would probably have to cut frame rate in half, but thats fine as long as it's optional.

This'd be awesome, being able to half your screen to a permanent stats board without overlaying the game would be really nice.

Especially if you could drag and drop them like panels.
