  • Not all hosted games come under "Watch" ?

Today I tried in vain to hunt the game between Orange and Joy, a showmatch played between the two teams as I wanted to watch it from my prospective instead of a stream, but I couldn't find it. Aren't all hosted games supposed to come under "Watch" section ? If no, I would kindly request you guys to fix it ASAP, in fact before ESWC.
I'm quite sure many of the Dota 2 users would like to watch the games from "Watch" section and obviously all games won't be streamed.
Have a look into this ASAP !

    Regards,
    Varun

They didnt play matchmaking, but practice mode and there you can disable streaming which means: No stream and no replay, only observers and the players will have a replay.

    This is intended.

Oh man, but wouldn't people want to watch most of the games ? Like in ESWC. I'm quite sure most of the people with Dota 2 want to watch almost all the games

Yes there should be a way to join practice games as spectator, perhaps make it an option at the game setup.

You always can join the practice mode stream, but if someone disables it, you wont be able to see it!

But dont expect something like an ingame stream at ESWC or SMM. Their own streams with advertisings >>>> Dota 2 ingame stream. At least they can provide us with replays, which we can watch afterwards.

At least there should be option to watch your friends game when he plays via Practice. Like Right click name -> Watch game

I think in some cases the people playing the practice game will not want that they can be spectated (private practice or something for example).
This could be resolved by adding a "Allow this game to be spectated" option on practice game creation, so people wanting privacy could get it and other games would be spectateable.

Edit: The option would be checked by default.

In fact the default mode when hosting practice games should be "Allow this game to be spectated" instead of having to even select it. I don't think a lot of players right now (or in general) would object to having their games observed so having this as the default option seems like the best way to go about it.

Was just gonna edit my post to say just that, I definitely think it should be that way also.
